We were founded in 1957, as a non-profit, private, Catholic, Franciscan four-year college. 
  

Our student-to-faculty ratio is 12:1, ensuring small class sizes and individualized attention from our knowledgeable, working-field faculty.

Enrollment Options

With class durations only 7.5 weeks long and multiple starts to the year (our next start is in July), our online classes at Hilbert College Global work around your schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions

How will this agreement impact students, faculty, and staff at both colleges?
Under the auspices of the Board’s newly formed Franciscan Services not-for-profit organization, the two colleges will operate independently, contributing to each other’s vitality within their accreditors’ policies as separate colleges.
Immediate plans between the two colleges include the establishment of transfer articulations in their respective online degree programs and the sharing of best practices. An initial benefit for the Valley and Hilbert College communities will be the provision of reciprocal tuition waiver benefits to all eligible Hilbert and Valley employees, vastly increasing the number of degree programs available to both sets of employees and their families.
Why is the Board of Hilbert acquiring Valley College?
This acquisition aligns with the Hilbert 2025 Strategic Plan to strengthen and grow enrollment and the college’s financial position. Hilbert is a Franciscan college committed to improving access to higher education for all. Welcoming Valley College students and faculty into the Franciscan Services community aligns with our plan to fulfill our potential as a vital liberal arts institution in Western New York and a top value for online education nationally. The addition of Valley College students accompanied by the school’s robust online education presence will serve as a crucial milestone in Hilbert’s long-term success.
Will Hilbert students be able to take courses at Valley College and vice versa? If so, when?
The colleges are working to establish transfer articulations in their respective online degree programs.
Will Valley College be renamed and integrated within Hilbert, or will it maintain its identity and branding?
Under the newly formed Franciscan Services entity, the two colleges will operate independently, maintain their separate identities, and contribute to each other’s vitality within their accreditors’ policies as separate colleges.
Won’t this disrupt the learning experience of Valley students? Will Valley students be forced to become Hilbert students?
There will be no negative impact on the learning experience of either Valley College or Hilbert College students. The two colleges will operate independently, contributing to each other’s vitality within their accreditors’ policies as separate colleges. The more than 2,000 learners that Hilbert College and Valley College serve will benefit from expanded opportunities through planned transfer articulations.
